If you are a true disciple of Jesus Christ, one must follow, learn from, and obey Jesus’ teachings as well. Discipleship is also about relationships. We all need to build, repair, and strengthen those bonds as we take on more and more of Jesus’ character. Let’s us be honest…Many of you are tired and worn down from all of the activities or things in your life. We spend so much time getting ready each day that we ask ourselves daily, “What’s next?” What do you do to stay encouraged throughout the rest of the day, month or year?
The Bible encourages you to become active members in the disciple making process even if you don’t feel as though we can. All followers of Jesus must go and make disciples – right now – putting aside your feelings of emotional, and/or spiritual fatigue: “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded of you” (Matthew 28: 19-20). You may know this verse, but it’s up to you to put these words into action! Stay encouraged this day, and remember to take on Jesus’s character and follow him.
